You could have setup your new server outside and the heat generated would Win! (reference to a previous Blog entry about AC and the server room) and the server room would be much quieter.;) If you repaved the drive way you could setup water coils under the driveway the water cool the server and melt the snow in the process. (file this under not practical)

Consider yourself lucky...I've already had 3 snowfalls to clear my driveway of, plus what ever you just got we got over here as well. Last winter MTL received a near record season and nearly all my neighbors and I were barely able to stand up straight at the end of last winters snowfall.

Hey Mitch

All the best during the holidays to you guys. You don't have that much snow. You really need to come out to Calgary and see what snow is really about then you can't complain about snow. Plus, combine this with -20C weather.

So, if I have an SBS03 server holding the FSMO roles, but a secondary DC running 03 standard - will there be any dramas having the EBS MAN server take the FSMO roles whilst keeping the 03 standard intact?

<MDG Reply> Upgrading from SBS 2K3 to is a simple and supported scenario, and easier for your question in that the SBS box held the FSMO roles... so the Server 2K3 Standard box can continue to exist as it has. -M
