SMB Nation 2007: Small Business is BIG Business!

The SMB Nation 2007 Fall Conference is coming up this week-end (September 29-October 1, 2007) and I am really excited to be a part of it. It is looking to be an incredible array of conferences focused around four separate tracks – the 'Pocket MBA' business track, the Community track, the Technical Packet track, and the SBSC Training track.

I am really looking forward to participating in this year's conference. For one thing conferences such as this one is a great way to connect with some of the best and brightest and to learn how to do what we do better, as well as to learn new ways to do business. As a presenter at this year's conference I get to share with my audience a better way of deploying their desktops using a number of tools, such as BDD 2007, The Windows Automated Installation Kit, and WDS.

I have worked with SMB Nation on a number of projects and have always enjoyed it. The people are all good people to work with, and their goal – to help the SBS and the SBSC community – is a valiant one that I think they have succeeded with. I have spoken to several Small Business IT Pros whose careers have been helped by presentations, seminars, conferences, books, and articles from SMB Nation. Every member of the Microsoft SBSC program gets a free subscription to the SMB Partner Community Magazine, a very worthwhile publication replete with articles both technical and business-focused.

If you are still on the fence about coming out to SMB Nation 2007 then I urge you to come down and meet your peers, learn, schmooze, and hopefully go home better prepared to improve your business than you were before. If cost is a factor then you should know that you can finance the price of admission and pay over three, six, or twelve months, and the deals at the hotels are worthwhile.

I hope to see you in Redmond this coming week-end. Look for me and say hi!
